The workhorse of the traffic cone world. PVC cones are injection-molded around a hollow core, then joined to a heavy rubber base (37×37 cm typical). The two-part construction makes them the cheapest to manufacture and gives them the classic weighted feel that stays put in wind.
The step up. PE cones are usually one-piece, roto-molded with an integrated hollow base that gets filled with sand or water for stability. The material is far more UV-resistant than PVC and doesn't crack in cold climates.
